Mario Balotelli appears to be making the most of his 4-match ban and has chosen to invest in a new set of wheels. Mario took his new bike, complete with stabilisers, for a spin at an event called The Playground at Pancea Bar in Manchester where adults can “indulge their inner child”. It’s yet to be confirmed if Mario had a play in the ball pen afterward, but no doubt City chiefs will have some strong words for the striker, who previously clashed over Mario’s desire to ride his Harley Davidson. They did warn you, Mario!

Balotelli d’Or

Balotelli believes he can win one of football’s most coveted prizes, the Ballon d’Or – but only if rival Lionel Messi starts to play badly. Former French international Oliver Dacourt claims Mario told him that “I cannot do it (win the Golden Ball) because the little Argentine “played so hard”. Admittedly Balotelli has been in tremendous form so far this season, having scored nine in fifteen so far, but this has been marred by his off-field shenanigans and his recent stomp on Spurs midfielder, Scott Parker. Balotelli also said that he and his girlfriend, Raffaella Fico, “spend a lot of time talking about me”, even when they went out to dinner, adding he “did things that are not normal”.

Blogotelli for one offers its full backing to Mario in his quest to become European Footballer of the Year!

Clearly Mario wasn’t enthralled by City’s 3 – 0 victory against Fulham this weekend, instead choosing to perform a magic trick for his mates rather than cheer his team on…

Mario with brother Enoch

Sunderland have reportedly been offered the once in a life time opportunity to sign Balotelli – Enoch Balotelli! Mario’s younger brother who was at Stoke only a few months ago has arrived on Wearside to be put through his paces after failing to secure a contract with Tony Pulis’ men. Enoch, who currently lives with his brother in Cheshire, is keen to show his talent. However Sunderland want to see how he does on trial first after Stoke staff called him “raw”.

Mario Balotelli’s agent, Mino Raiola, has warned that Balotelli could quit England if he continues to receive what he calls ‘unfair treatment’. Mino said “I think he feels persecuted; he cannot go on like that”. This comes after last weekend’s incident involving Scott Parker which has since seen Mario banned for four-games. Mino is not the first to question what he sees as victimisation, Balotelli’s sister Cristina making accusations that the English press hounded Italians who didn’t live up to expectations after her brother had an incident with Man Utd’s Nemanja Vidic during the Charity Shield earlier this season. Raiola added on a Radio 5 interview:

“We had a very clear image of his career at the beginning and I told the press openly Mario will have to stay at Manchester City for at least three of four years, helping the club on this important project and grow as a man and a player.

Obviously if he’s being banned every three or four games for one reason or another we cannot go on like that and there needs to be an end to that.

So if that’s the case and English referees and the English FA would like Mario to go out of England then we would take that seriously in consideration, even if that’s not and was not our intention.

He [Mario] is very disappointed about the decision. He loves playing in England. He keeps asking ‘why always me, why does it always come back to me?’ He loves playing in England and I think he feels persecuted.”

Since making the £24-million move from Inter Milan in 2010, Mario has been sent off three times, as well as being subject to many infamous off-field incidents which has left manager Roberto Mancini pulling his hair out while colleagues such as Joey Barton call him ‘The Renegade’.

Mario Balotelli’s now infamous stamp on Tottenham’s Scott Parker this Sunday has aroused furore not just from Harry Redknapp and Spurs players, but now apparently angry Manchester United fans. Balotelli dodged a red card for his challenge on Parker and was consequently available to take the winning penalty in the 95th minute against Spurs. This incident is said to have infuriated some Man Utd fans so much that they decided to egg Mario’s Bentley GT while he was eating dinner in a restaurant. Had City drawn to Tottenham then Manchester United, who beat Arsenal 2 – 1  and are currently three-points behind the league leaders, could have closed the gap to just one.

Bad boy Balotelli has found himself in hot water again – this time having stomped on Spurs midfielder Scott Parker during City’s 3 – 2 victory over their Premier League rivals this weekend. Stomper Mario has been widely condemned for his antics during Sunday’s crunch title clash, doubly galling on account that referee Howard Webb failed to spot the incident allowing the striker to stay on the field. Balotelli then stepped up in the 95th minute to score the winning penalty to sink Spurs and deal a bitter blow to their title hopes. Spurs manager Harry Redknapp was left fuming. “Why you should backheel someone in the head when they are lying on the floor is beyond me. It’s not a nice thing to do”. However strike partner Sergio Aguero was quick to jump to his teammate’s defence. “Like a lot of players he has his own idiosyncracies here and there. You know him as a player – what you see on the field. But I know he’s a lovely lad”.

Mario has since been charged with violent conduct by the Football Association where the normal punishment is a three-game ban. However, Mario must also serve a one-game ban for his sending off against Liverpool in November, meaning the Italian will face a total of four games on the sidelines.
